Erika Lam is a 3^rd year business economics student from Arcadia, California. She also has intentions of minoring in Accounting and is currently taking all relevant coursework to do so. She is currently working at an employment law firm, because she had previously thought she would go into business law but has instead changed her mind. She hopes to work at a public accounting firm after she graduates and receive her CPA. After gaining professional experience at such firm, she plans to attend graduate school for either her Masters in Taxation or Masters in Business Association. With the additional degree, she will be able to pursue her career path of becoming a partner at a smaller sized public accounting firm.

                Erika lived in Arcadia, California since she was 6 years old and doesn’t feel like she would ever want to move away. She feels that it is the perfect residential area to live and raise a family. She played on the varsity tennis team while at ending Arcadia High School and still tries to practice occasionally in college. She loves to try out different recipes and often cooks in order to relieve stress. She isn’t afraid to experiment with fancy recipes and her boyfriend and roommates are often her guinea pigs. She also loves to read, everything from novels to magazines. While she hasn’t had as much time to do so in college, she has not forgotten her passion for books and tries to sneak a couple here and there. She loves Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Desperate Housewives, because she feels each show brings out drama and demonstrates passion of each character.

                Erika’s goals in life are to eventually be able to learn how to  invest her savings into real estate and stocks and be able to support her parents like they have supported her whole life. She would also like to open up an organization to help those who are in poverty, because she cannot bear to see those who are suffering. Overall, she would like to constantly improve her life by having a positive self image and striving to achieve all her goals. She also hopes she will be able to influence someone’s life in the positive and meaningful ways that some of her friends and co-workers have done for her.
