Joshua Tai

Joshua W. Tai is a fourth year at the University of California, Irvine and a second year Business economics major. Formerly a Mechanical engineering major of 2 years, he realized that was not the right field of study for such an outgoing and charismatic person like himself who needed to work with ever-changing challenges. Faces of people were whom Josh needed to work with, not machines.

Josh’s interests span an entire spectrum of activities ranging the outdoors to music and arts. During his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, cycling, paintballing, and occasionally piano and drums of which he has played since 8 years of age. Once a year Josh will utilize his Eagle Scout skills and venture to wilderness to places such as the Sierra Nevadas or the Grand Canyon to get away from the city and suburban life.  And of course he loves to hit up a nice restaurant or bar and live it up with a group of good friends.

As a member of the Beta Class of the Pi Sigma Chapter of the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, Joshua has gained a great amount of leadership opportunities, wide range of professional skills, and a new perspective on life and his career. Ever since pledging during fall quarter, Joshua has taken initiative and positions on the executive committee for 2 consecutive terms immediately after initiation. Having worked numerous jobs ranging from courtesy clerk at Albertsons, to UCI Parking and Transportation, and now currently bartending in Newport Beach Charter Yachts (with many others in between), Delta Sigma Pi helped him discover his true interests and a way to maximize them to be successful in today’s professional world. After graduation, Joshua plans to pursue a career in the field of finance as a consultant and eventually attend graduate school and obtain his MBA.
