Eric Chang is currently a 3rd year undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine studying Business Economics. He was born in Texas and moved to San Jose, California when he was 20 days old. He is fluent in both English and Chinese. Prior to attending UCI, Mr. Chang went to De Anza College and transferred after two years with a 3.75 GPA with his interests leaning towards business. When he was young he always loved keeping track of money and always paid attention to how much he should spend and how much he should save. When Mr. Chang turned 18, he joined the stock market and bought a bundle of stocks with the money he has saved. Currently, the stock as grown 50 dollars since he has bought them, and the stock is still growing. Being a transfer student, Mr. Chang has only completed one quarter at UCI and has a GPA of 3.25. He has completed Math 4, Econ 100A, and Econ 15A. He likes to pride himself in his math skills, so if anyone ever has a question, Mr. Chang would never hesitate to be a helpful brother and help! Some extracurricular activities that he enjoys are basketball, volleyball, badminton, computer games. He spends a good amount of time at the Arc playing pickup games with his friends. Some computer games he enjoys playing are Counter-Strike, Starcraft, DotA, and the recently released, Heroes of Newerth. Mr. Chang has had two jobs in the past; one was working for Autumn Inc. building and packaging computers. This was just a summer job though. His other job was working at Cupertino’s Apple Inc.’s Gym. Mr. Chang has worked this job for two years and only went on leave because he had to move to southern California to attend UCI. He met many Apple employees and gained a lot of knowledge through conversing with them.
After being initiated into the Pi Sigma chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, Mr. Chang has been an active member, from working at the flyer booth, to being in the Fundraising committee. He has had a great experience and looks forward to incoming pledge classes and the light he may be able to shed on them. |
