David King is a second year Business Economics major at the University of California, Irvine who is also considering a minor in Spanish. He is expected to graduate in June of 2012 with his undergraduate degree. He grew up in Southern California in Walnut and attended Walnut High School. During high school he played soccer and water polo. He is not only a part of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity but continues to be actively involved with the UCI club soccer team. He volunteers for the American Cancer Society and annual Relay for Life events to raise cancer awareness and research funding.
He is currently enrolled in Economics 15b and 100b, Management 30a, and Social Science 3a. He has made considerable progress towards his degree and definitely considers economics classes as his favorite. In the past few summers he has worked full time as a swim instructor and lifeguard at local pools in the Walnut community. His most recent work experience was as a financial advisor assistant at John Stokes Financial in Newport Beach. This internship provided vital insight into the financial world and he now believes he would like to pursue a career in finance or investment banking. He is currently applying for such internships for the remainder of the school year and summer in the financial sector. Outside of school and work responsibilities, David enjoys spending his free time reading, working out or playing computer games. He loves to travel, try new foods, and learn new languages. He is still considering a minor in Spanish as he is conversant in written and spoken Spanish after studying Spanish for five years. He now looks forward to his years to come as a newly initiated brother with Delta Sigma Pi. |
