Melanie Carolyn Sun is currently a third year undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine.  She began as an information and computer science major, but switched her sophomore year and is now a business information management major.  BIM is a fairly new major that started in Irvine entailing concepts from informatics, computing, business fundamental and analytical decision-making.  She hopes to either take her degree abroad or attend graduate school in the East Coast.   

Outside of academics, Melanie enjoys playing the piano and guitar.   She has been playing the piano since she was nine and guitar since she was eighteen.  She also loves participating in outdoor activities such as snowboarding.  She started snowboarding at the age of sixteen where she first learned in Park City, Utah and has been boarding every season since. 

As for Delta Sigma Pi, Melanie played the role of historian during her fall 09 pledging process.  She can undoubtedly without hesitance say that pledging has been a positive experience for her. She has learned valuable communicative and organizational skills and so much more through the fraternity.
