Michael Tran is currently a student at UC Irvine working towards a degree in Business Economics with minors in Management and Information & Computer Science. Before coming to study at UC Irvine, Mr. Tran spent his time working as a server in various restaurants while attending community college as a full time student. Originally from the bay area, he moved down to Southern California as a transfer student in the winter of 2008 to pursue a degree in Psychology. Still undecided as to what career path he wanted to pursue, Mr. Tran changed majors upon arriving at UC Irvine, switching his focus towards a degree in Information & Computer Science. After a year of study and exploration into various areas of work, he finally realized that his passion was in business and, consequently, shifted majors once again to Business Economics. During his time at UC Irvine, Mr. Tran sought out various different opportunities that would allow him to gain the most out of his college experience while also providing for his personal development. With a burning desire to travel, it was in the summer of 2009 when he studied abroad in Korea. After coming back with a new perspective and a newfound drive for success, Mr. Tran pledged and was initiated into Delta Sigma Pi in the fall quarter of 2009 as part of the mighty Epsilon class. Currently, Michael Tran is enjoying his last year in college as he seeks out internships and other opportunities to prepare him for life afterwards. Looking towards the future, Mr. Tran is looking to pursue a career in accounting and eventually becoming a CPA. |
