Wendy Cheung

Ms. Wendy Cheung is a Business Economics major expected to graduate in June 2011. Ms. Cheung was born and raised in Hong Kong for six years before moving to Arcadia, California. Prior to UCI, She attended Arcadia High School where she was an active member in Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA), concert band and Spanish Club. Ms. Cheung served as the Membership Director in FBLA and carried out duties such as getting sponsorships and recruiting members.

Having completed a majority of her breadth and major requirements after her two years at UCI, she plans to double major in International Studies and minor in accounting. Although she is currently not in the accounting minor, Ms. Cheung has taken five out of the seven classes needed for the minor over the past two summers.

Before becoming a member of Delta Sigma Pi, she was in Hong Kong Student Union(HKSU), a cultural club on campus. Ms. Cheung was an intern of HKSU where she helped brainstormed ideas for weekly events and fundraisers. Although she is no longer an officer for HKSU, she remains an active member by coming out to the weekly events.

During her free time, Ms. Cheung enjoys working with children, playing tennis and volleyball. She volunteered with Arcadia Recreation Department since middle school and continued until her senior year of high school. Because of her love for children, she applied as a staff for the Arcadia Recreation Department during senior year. While she can’t work during the school year, she returns in the summer to work with the kids.

She is currently working at Coast to Coast Copy, a professional copy, printing and scanning service, where she performs office duties, designs flyers, brochures and business cards for customers. As Ms. Cheung approaches graduation, she hopes to obtain a second job in either a financial or accounting firm in order to gain more experience in the financial world. After several years of work experience, she plans to get her MBA degree.

Since joining Delta Sigma Pi, Ms. Cheung served as Vice President of Scholarship and Awards and on the community service committee. While her membership in the fraternity has not been long, these positions allowed her to work with brothers who have been in the fraternity for a while and gain more knowledge of the workings of the fraternity.
